Milborne Players

Milborne Players are a small friendly amateur drama group based in Milborne St Andrew, Dorset. Our productions cover a broad range including farce, pantomime, serious drama, music hall and revues. The groups objective is to provide the community of central Dorset with quality live entertainment and in doing so enhance the social life of the general population of this area.

CAUGHT IN THE NET received a marvelous reception in 2001 at the Vaudeville Theatre in London's West End, where the critics received it with absolute delight: 'It's sheer joy from beginning to end', 'It has been a while since I cried laughing at the theatre, and what a joy it is when it happens' That is not an exaggeration, the cast have difficulty in keeping straight faces!

Ray Cooney is one of Britain’s most successful playwrights. To date he has had 17 plays staged in the West End including Run For Your Wife and Funny Money.  His work has been translated into more than 40 languages and countless productions have been staged all around the world. He was recognised with an OBE in the New Years Honours (2005).

You may have seen the presentation on ITV Meridian regional news on Friday 28th November 2008. "Caught in the Net" will be our first production using the new lighting and sound systems.
