14th December 2007

As is becoming customary at this time of the year The Milborne Players organised a “Poems & Pies” evening in the Milborne village hall. The content of the evening informally extend the Christmas spirit by way of a drink ~ or two ~ and partaking of good food and generally relating thoughts, with amusing verse, monologue and seasonally associated songs.
As is becoming the habit the "Players" presented to a full house with every seat taken. Hosted by Brian Parkinson the evening was one thoroughly enjoyed by all with lots of laughs and a lot of good natured jibes.

This year the Poems & Pies evening was a special occasion as it is the 30th anniversary of The Milborne Players. A special cake had been baked and was ceremoniously presented to the audience who then enjoyed eating it. A truly rememberable occasion as the "Players" look forward to the next decade and more entertainment, enjoyment and progress.
